Who we are
Rorke's Drift exemplifies elite defensive operations during the Anglo-Zulu War, where Lieutenants John Chard of the Royal Engineers and Gonville Bromhead of the 24th Regiment of Foot led just over 150 British and colonial troops in repelling attacks by 3,000 to 4,000 Zulu warriors at the Swedish mission station on 22-23 January 1879.
